So AFK macro farming is out (good)
Suicide jenner is out (good)

Nija base cap is out (I think that was legit)

so what will farmers now do?

They will jump in 150kph mech, run around and shot each opponent once (and only once) and then die. Take the 7,500 times 8 plus the base 25,000 and move on to the next game.

I guess at least it cannnot be macro'd...and takes longer than suicide....but for every model, there is an exploit.

There will always be exploits. You can't remove all of it. What's important is to make people actually fight in order to get paid and NOT be paid in full just to queue up then sit at the base. I don't get why Piranha is so surprised. People will do what rewards them, end of story. You left a huge and obvious design flaw right in the game for Open Beta. This should have been patched out months ago. You shouldn't pay people to show up then just tab out to Hulu.com.

You forget, that their team must destroy those mechs to profit that much.

I'm happy overall, it will force people to actually attempt to fight, rather than cap rushing for 1/4 the profits as of now.

If they're good enough to run around and get some shots on each and every opponent, well, that's a crap ton better than an afker or a suicide douche. You never know, with that pool of talent they might actually play (especially considering the major excuse for "botting" type behavior was the grind, and they're gonna get some 7mil cbills to boot.)

That's an awful lot of effort for what's supposed to be easy mode :)

Yeah, pretty much if they are able to do that, they are atleast competent at the game and will be marking those targets for the rest of your team. Even if they are "farming cbills", they are still working for them somewhat and are being compensated for it, rather than me taking out a tricked out awesome or atlas and being cored by a tker and paying 80k for repair fees, for example.

interesting suggestion, but if I'm not mistaken - 7500 is awarded only for the killed, not for "scratched once" mech.

Enemies have to die at some point before you can get assist credit.
Meaning farmers are incentivized to see that enemies die.
Which is a good thing.

That is hardly exploitable, as it entirely depends on the rest of their team to actually get the kills and win. No kill... no assist. A total waste of time.

Except as it stands, it's only a hypothetical... some people just have to whine.

If they have to run around and actually at the very least spot everyone on the other taem and shoot them a few times before dying then they're already in the match for a good few minutes. Also they won't get assists unless those people die. Which means their team probably won or nearly won. Which means they're not actually hurting the team they're on much. If their team loses then they get few/no assists and thus no money. Which means if they want the money they need to help their team win. I don't think you've fully thought the logic of your objection to this change through. PGI has made some boneheaded changes before, but I don't think this is one of them.

It isn't even an exploit, it is a function of the game that already exists and is getting buffed that he is calling an exploit.
